| The Black Lion is probably the best pub in Lampeter. It looks like it used to be a coaching inn, with a parking area at the rear of the building. It is a touch commercialised today though and is owned by Brains. There is a large central bar, with seating all round. Locals were congregated to the left-hand side if you enter from the street, or in front of you if you enter from the passageway to the side. It seems that service is only from this side too, as we witnessed a few people walk in, stand at the bar for a while, before giving up and leaving.
