| Went when it was not busy and me and the missus were ignored for about 5 minutes or more as we stood at the bar waiting to be served. | Coaching house style pub in this pleasant small Moors town. It has a standard enough interior, with an L-shaped room around the bar, and traditional furnishings and wood panelling adding some character, although you feel the hotel operation is as important as the pub here. Beer-wise, Yorkshire breweries dominate, with Daleside and Black Sheep featuring strongly. All beers sampled were well-kept. Probably the best of the pubs in the town.
