Stayed here in 2007 when walking the cotswold way. I remember getting my pint just as the local hunt came in. Today, i am back in the area and started my walk from the village. Meant a quick stop after the walk to have a decent pint in front of the fire... My beer was called the cotswold way :-) Mappiman - 17 Feb 2013 16:51 |
What a true gem of an english country pub. A Free House, 4 very well kept real ales, a Large open log fire, Child friendly & Food to die for. Well done guys, we will be back Duffer - 14 Sep 2011 19:27 |
This pub use to be one of the busiest pubs in the Cotswolds. Bad freehold ownership/mangement over the last 11 years has led to numerous managers come and go, bankrupcy cases and even short closure. Lets hope now that the freehold is finally up for sale that it can return to its former glory as the location pub it once was. It needs an owner landlord to make this place work. The village of Nympsfield deserves to see this 300 year old plus pub thrive. Its a wonderful building in a wonderful village. It would be nice to see someone contribute to making this place work to a fuller potential than it has done for years bob55 - 25 Jul 2010 13:44 |
