| Have just come across review from Drunkedgehog/June 2010. This has been a regular pub of mine for the last 25 years. It has never served Courage Directors. Courage Best has always been served apart from when Tippets had it, when they served different beers.Yes, they still have Budding and Butcombe and C. Best and these always seem available and popular. There is now usually another choice which varies. As for the food. The average price for the freshly prepared and cooked food is around a tenner. | Three real ales that never change. Stroud Brewery Budding, Butcombe Bitter and Courage Director's. Beer isn't keep very well with 1 in 3 pints in good condition. The best beer is Budding but more often than not isn't available. Food expensive and of dubious quality.
