| If the last reviewer was referring to a chap named Dave then I'm pleased to report that he's still at the Falcon. Wins plaudits on other review sites for its food offerings which I would describe as very good for the price. Hooky and the guest beer from Butcombe were both served slightly chilled but that didn't put me off them as they were in good condition and just £3.30/£3.50 respectively per pint. | Reopened mid 2010 under the new ownership of a talented Aussie chef and his partner. Outstanding restaurant with well kept real ales and excellent wine list. Both owners have decided to live in the village at the premises meaning they are very responsive to visiting customers and local villagers alike. This was the successful recipe of earlier landlords, but the most recent owners had run the poor Falcon into the ground by never being at the pub and installing a series of disinterested and uninspired "managers."
