Primarily a restaurant, and a fairly expensive one, with a bar area. No cask ales but they have Hoegaarden, Staropramen and Addlestones cider. Seems quite popular. Like the Shore a bit further along there is a massive mirror at one end of the bar making it look bigger, I wonder who copied who. Millay - 14 May 2009 09:23 |
A pretty good bar all round. Just don't be afraid to hand your lager back to the untrained girls who ocassionally don't put any heads at all on the beer! Been visiting this bar most of summer to sit outside and catch the rays. And a bottle of p.grigio and a rammekin of olives is a great way to unwind in the evening. Recommended. An no, I don't know the management! :-) Coldie - 29 Aug 2006 16:54 |
If you're going to eat here make sure you book a table as it gets busy. Great food - the steak was huge and beautifully cooked. In fact the portions of everything were generous. The staff were patient, friendly and efficient. There was no push to get you out as soon as you'd finished the meal and the whole restaurant area was no smoking. The smokers in our party nipped into the bar for inter-course cigarettes which suited us all. Brilliant. The only gripe was that there was no real ale on. The wine was well priced though. All round it was a great night out. chick - 21 Apr 2005 22:55 |
