| Top notch country pub/restaurant with a good choice of ales and nice wine selection. The food is outstanding and the setting in the old Stables of Soughton Hall is superb in the winter with the low setting sun dropping into the back windows as you enjoy a drink by the log fire drinks perched on an old blacksmiths bellows! As much a place to drink as it is to eat - the only downside may be the fact that it is slightly isolated so drinkers may prefer a nice walk through the superb countryside from Buckley Station (a 90 minute walk) or possibly take a bus from Mold or Northop/Flint and alight at Sychdyn and walk the country lane and up the long drive to the Hall itself. parkender - 2 Jan 2012 20:59 |
