| I have been drinking in this pub for a while now and I must say things are finally on the up! Whoever this ruggy person is has no idea what they are talking about. It may be ran my Mr Edwards however he is one of the better stewards we have had in years. And the staff yes some may also be Edwards but they are good, polite and friendly. Ruggy if you have been using the club for the last 25 years why don't you tell us your name? And put some input in to how to improve the club. The prices may have gone up throughout the past 25 years but that is a way of living the cost of living is going up there a business and you have to expect it. As for the improvements there doing it all up soon as they are saying it around the club. And finally the cans since Mr Edwards took over he has gotten rid of the cans of fosters and coke and has gone back to pump fosters and bottles of coke and if you really did you the club like you say you do then you would know this. chinchin - 20 Apr 2013 20:04 |
| Now localy called the Edwards Arms due to a new steward (Mr Edwards) and staff reorganising. More locals moving on-even though the nearest pub,which was less than 100metres away has closed down ( The LONDONER) Seems to be being run down diliberatly as housing developers building everywhere around this site and its a piece of prime land for a dozen houses or so. All things must pass. 3 other club type places local, The Chicken Ranch (Long furlong road) Britwell parish owned. The Gay Club (just its name-not customers general preferance) at Farnham Royal village hall. And The Farrady Social Club. | Have used this place for about 25 years. It used to be a great family club with entertainmentn and reasonbly priced drinks etc. Over the past say 10 years its difficlt to see any improvments or maintainance has taken place. The range of drinks has all but diminished to verious largers and canned drinks from supermarket multi packs-including cans of lager (fosters) presumably popular due to quality of pump version. Havent even replaced internal ceiling tiles from water damage and only have about a third of lights in working order, Has the honour of being the center for Berkshire darts which probably accounts for most income. A regretably sadly neglected place, Best fondly remembered for its past-Shame. Yes I still use it-cant even get a pint of bitter though.
