| Visited here a few times, usually with family to eat, Beer has improved, but oddities like the "party box" of Old Rosie on the bar getting hot are disappointments (esp. when I really felt like a decent pint of cider), Still well worth a visit, and I've raised my rating... kon23uk - 10 Jul 2011 17:11 |

| This historic building has been very nicely updated, and had a very pleasant atmosphere when we visited. There was a superior "pub grub" menu, and, for a change, the wines there were decent quality, and there were 6 real ales on tap. Unfortunately, the ales tasted like someone had kept them far too cold at some point, and killed the flavour. Also, prices in general were high compared to alternatives not too far away.
