Take 5 was the third stop on our Norwich crawl. But unfortunately we only had around 15 minutes before we needed to head off towards the football ground. The building is listed and the bar is fairly nice inside with artwork for sale on the walls. There was only one other customer inside. Ales were Green Jack Ole Cock, Humpty Dumpty Swallowtail, Wolf Golden Jackal & Golden Triangle Mosaic. Ciders were Crones & Addlestones. A good option in Norwich. blue_scrumpy - 13 Dec 2015 15:43 |
had a table booked here friday 6th december, six of us up from brighton on the research, took the excellent barman all of 2 seconds to recognise us from our last trip about 2 years ago. beer was fantastic as usual, food was top notch, and the staff as accomplished as ever. a marvellous pub. darkman1828 - 12 Dec 2013 07:57 |
As we were staying at The Maids Head Hotel it seemed proper to walk across the road for a pint(or two) in this pub. Good mix of customers of all ages and a good range of local beers (I had a St.Peters brew) Busy and chatty by not overpowering - we liked it! mcroyal - 24 Apr 2013 00:33 |
Was just opening when I passed last Thursday, but I was heading elsewhere. Certainly on my list for a future occasion - it looks worth a visit and is in the 2013 Good Beer Guide. Stamfordian - 4 Dec 2012 12:23 |
Was going to call here yesterday evening but, despite a banner proclaiming its participation in the present (City of Ale) festivities, it appeared very closed, especially in view of the board inside the window with "CLOSED" in large chalked letters. So went in the Glasshouse across the road, where the beer was fine as well as cheap. Stamfordian - 6 Jun 2012 11:00 |
