| An old pub located in the centre of the town. It has a large barn of a lounge with the bar in front of you as you enter. It has been laid out to take as many people standing as possible. The round the wall seating is on 3 sides with one corner only having stools. This area is used for entertainment which was on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There was a good selection of real ale from small independent breweries which was changed regularly. This included North Wales Brewery Moeffre IPA, Castle Rock Preservation Ale and Butcombe Brewery Mendip Spring. It didn't serve food after 7pm which was a bummer. boozers_knows - 2 Jul 2011 15:09 |
| Called in approx 9.00pm, largish one roomed pub, typical identikit pubco decor and excessive lighting, no atmosphere whatsoever. Two cask beers on offer, ordered two pints of 4.4% ale but it ran out, then ordered 8.0% ale, it also ran out! No offer made to put on another ale therefore we drank what the barperson managed to squeeze out of the beer engines!
