| Very nice pub in most ways - excellent Harveys, nice landlady, nicish bar and rooms; BUT - £10 for a very modest little bagette and 3 nouvelle lettuce leaves with a little salad-stuff sculpted onto them... I was a bit shocked. This is a much nicer place than the depressing moderno-pub the Red Lion, up the way, but be a bit afraid of the pricy food. Maybe the roasts are reasonable value? | Visited by accident - we were going somewhere and just happened to pass by at lunchtime. Clean comfortable bar and dining area. Courteous and attentive staff. Harveys and London Pride on tap and very good food. Menu not as extensive as some but we all found something. In fact I had one of the best pub steaks I've ever come across. | Arghh - This place closed down for a couple of weeks for a refurb. It's now opened again, but for some reason they have got rid of the pool table and dart board and replaced them with more dining tables. I have only rarely seen people eating in here and never to the point that there are no available tables. It just beggars belief that they'd take out two of the only differentiating factors they have from the other locals nearby (Red Lion, Wheatsheaf, Half Moon). | Good local pub - the Harvey's always seems well kept and they usually another one or two ales available too. A steady number of folk in on an evening, but could always be more full. Pool table is in a reasonably good state, but the use of the darts board has been somewhat hindered by the placing of tables pretty much all around it - I would definitely frequent here more often if they sorted that out.
