The Chineham Arms is a truely great local village pub and the staff are the most friendliest I have experienced. The food is great and there is always a lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Have been to the Chineham Arms twice recently and both times the staff were friendly and the service was excellent. The second time we went on a Sunday and ate in the restaurant section which has views over the beer garden. The food, although a little pricey, was a very good standard and well worth paying the extra for restaurant quality food rather than your usual pub meal. Theres loads of seating inside and out, and it has a chilled-out, friendly atmosphere. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

I went to this pub last week and had a lovely time the food was excellent and the price was reasonable too. The staff were very friendly and the pub was clean. I don't mind at all paying a bit more for a lovely setting, nice roaring fires and lovely toilets! I would recommend going to this pub and see what you think. They also do a lunch time menu for 7 and lots of seasonal specials which are all home cooked. They cater for children until 8pm and don't show football all day! The sports element has gone and the tv's in are all in one place which makes the other end of the pub more dining. All they need now I'd to get rid if the carpet and I would go as far as naming this a gastro pub on the making! Well done Fullers.

Been in here quite a few times over the years although hadn't been recently till last Friday when I went to watch the football,..

I see the last comment was over a year ago and commented on the rudeness,... well what can I say, nothing has changed,.. just felt like I was putting all the staff out by being there,.....

the bar was also covered from one end to the other with dirty glasses,... and I had the privilege to pay 3.40 for my pint,....

Won't be going back in a hurry.....!

I live close to the Chineham Arms but I have only been there a handful of times. The beer's not bad and the food's pretty good (although expensive) but the service is poor. I don't know what it is that's upset the bar staff and frankly I don't care. After a rough day at work I want to go to a pub and be treated politely while I buy my beer. These people are just plain rude. They have no interest in customer service unless you're a regular. No wonder I don't go there often.
