Drove past this pub (?) on 3rd November 2021. It was largely demolished and any rebuilding appears to have stalled. Allegedly due to to reopen eventually as a café rather than a pub. Shame, it used to be lovely with terrific views! paddystuart - 30 Mar 2022 13:51 |
Going to be a cafe... Mappiman - 21 May 2017 20:03 |
We decided to climb up the hill from the village to the High Cross, only to find it closed. It was a Robinsons pub. Not sure if it will re-open. blue_scrumpy - 29 Jun 2015 21:42 |
This is a great local pub. They care about their customers and offer a friendly welcome to everyone. Good music on a Saturday with all the local bands, many of whom are well worth listening to. Excellent micro beer constantly changing as it is a Camra pub. Wine good too, which is unusual. Food: a limited, but imaginative menu and freshly cooked. Prices very reasonable, in the bar or the restaurant. Big log fires. Unpretentious, comfotable country pub which deserves lots of support. We need to keep these places open!! Use it or lose it. Any criticisms? Honestly, I can't think of any, wish I lived round the corner instead of 3 miles away. veryveryoldgit - 19 Apr 2010 01:16 |
