i've been here, i think the place is legendary, cause the staff were really nice, and it was packed out on a footie thing (not that i understand any of that but whatever) and also cause of the fact when i went back with mates, the same person was at the bar and even though it was ages later, knew what i was having! haha i am all over the fact that they have a handy hotel up there too, as we were gonna stop by had it not been for there being too many of us lillie - 26 Mar 2010 22:35 |
This pub is great. It's got well nice food. They have DJ nights on some weekends it's a friendly local pub with a good atmosphere. They have 2 pool tables live sky sports with 3big screens a jukebox, fruit machines. It's got a nice large sitting area outside for smokers/drinkers with a large car park. Real friendly managment, a ideal place for all age groups. 7/10 azz_01 - 11 Apr 2008 16:36 |
I played at this pub with my band STOLEN on 6th August this year. The management and staff were fine with us and the customers really enjoyed the gig. I didn't try the ale as I was driving. I can only assume that the no kids rule is there for a reason and there are no exceptions. JohnnyBGoode - 17 Oct 2005 20:34 |
Cranky old landlady. Kids are not welcome, even in the afternoon, when there is nobody else in the place, and its pissing rain outside, and all you wanted to do was call a taxi and have 2 cokes while you wait for it. She put me off ever going back there. Shame, because with the big park across the road and beer gardens this pub would make an ideal family pub if it was run properly. The management in this pub could learn a thing or two about manners. The_Inspector - 9 Jun 2005 18:25 |
