Village pub staffed with local characters with large garden with childrens play area, football pitch and small river running at the bottom of it. The beer is well kept with a constantly changing guest ale. Food is home made and excellent (chips are wonderful). Friends have stayed in the guest rooms and they are also of a high standard. Large locals bar with Sky Sports and a quieter lounge and dining area. Highly recommended. villagefamily - 5 Jul 2011 08:44 |
Congratulations on having the conviction regarding satellite TV overturned. (Not that I agree with sports TV in pubs, but it's nice to see the bullyboys get their arses kicked) Well done! The_Final_Arbiter - 5 Apr 2011 13:18 |
A friendly local boozer in a quiet rural part of Staffordshire. Sky Sports and lively chat in the saloon and fine food and a bit of peace and quiet in the lounge. Marston's Pedigree is a staple and there is usually a guest beer lurking somewhere on tap. Possibly the largest pub garden I have ever seen, plastic swings for the kiddies while mummy and daddy argue drunkenly and a large field which rolls down to the river Swarbourne. As do some of the regulars. agnes_guano - 31 Aug 2010 14:49 |
