A rock venue with everything that entails. Not as dingy as some of its ilk but still a bit of a dive bar feel to it. A tedious Guns n Roses tribute were playing. JonNgog - 29 Oct 2019 10:17 |
Auld fibbers has really came up in the world since the good bad old days, Its alot cleaner than it used to be, the layout has changed its getting a very mixed crowd (by that i mean a mixed crowd of people who actually like music not pop/chart bullshit). You can enjoy Pints or jugs(pitchers) of snakebite, or a bottle of bucky. Thursdays are still a great night there. I've brought a few of my non rock orientated friends there and they've had a ball and found that instead of a bar full of ben sherman shirt wearing scumbags and oompa loompas, you meet laid back people who jus wnat a good time. Anyways some people will agree with this and some won't. But i reckons if you have a bit of rock n roll in you this is definitely worth a look ! nollaigmac - 17 Apr 2011 17:19 |
Why do people give rock fans bad reps because of their looks? Oh I know - Stupidity! Fibbers doesn't just have goth and death metal, the jukebox had Thin Lizzy on it last time I checked - Not Death or Goth, they're classic rock! They also had Rage Against The Machine - again, not goth or death, they're crossover Hellwyck - 5 Nov 2009 12:30 |
A very very dirty pub. Only suitable if you worship goth or death metal and don't mind the smell. andyh26 - 2 Sep 2006 23:45 |
My God it's not full of stars! That was my impression the last time I ever went to the place. Some 6 or so years back... is this place still going? I remember drinking with a death metal band called Cannibal Corpse, one occasion. Staring out of a hole in the wall on another. I rocked to Rage Against the Machine here and I pulled this girl I'd fancied for a while. Mixed memories, really. A kip but a sentimental kip. jer - 16 Apr 2004 17:21 |
