Had an 'Alchemy North' brew that was pleasant enough. Okay for what it is and handy for the station.

Seemed like the height of civilisation after Brackley and Banbury though.

Kind of concur with others - it's okay and better than other ale outlets in HW but ale was a bit hit & miss with some beers good and others a bit suspect.

Has a wide choice of beers but unfortunately the quality rarely matches the quantity. They should also learn that if a customer takes a beer back because it doesn't taste right it's not an invitation to an argument - "it's a new barrel....that's how it's supposed to taste...etc", it's an opportunity to provide some half decent customer service and offer an alternative. It’s handy for the station but is expensive and certainly not as good as it was a few years ago.

Excellent range of beer, all kept very well. Had a pint of Rebellion and a Tring ruby ale, so no faults on that front. Mixed clientele, no problem with that either.

However, and I stress I don't go here very often only when meeting a mate in Wycombe so it might have been a one off, for a Friday evening the service was poor. Only one person on, and he was pretty slow. It had gone downhill in that regard (may have been a one off) in the year or so since I last visited.

Hopefully it was a one off, because the lack of competition in Wycombe, were most of the pubs are pretty grim, could breed a danger of complacency.
