Worth a visit for the novelty value. The John Cooper Clarke wallpaper is perhaps the highlight of this pub, looks fantastic. Plenty of Manchester music memorabilia around the pub with a huge paining of Mark E Smith on the back wall (and strangely a photo of the Foo Fighters). Pretty much standard beer, with no real ale that I could see, but the Peroni was good for a quick pint before moving on. DixieLand - 21 Mar 2013 15:37 |
They have finally got an entrance on Oldham St and boy does it help passing trade. My visit on Saturday around 7pm was a good one. I would definitely go in there again (despite the loud music). Not one for real-ales fans and there are plenty of real-ale alternatives close-by. Unfortunately they were all full of City fans post-match!! gunninm - 6 Mar 2012 09:08 |
Aimed at the slightly macho Madchester market primarily providing overpriced mass-produced lagers to groups of lads. Probably not as bad as that sounds, however! pub_patron - 25 Feb 2010 19:26 |
