| Pleasant tucked away pub in a small village. Fair sized bar with a slate tile floor and a cosier, carpeted restaurant area. Turned up early for lunch before they had officially opened, but the friendly landlady was happy to unlock for us anyway and promptly lit the real fire. Beers on tap were London Pride, Black Sheep and the festive Northern Cracker from Tetley's. Also Thatcher's Gold cider. Lunch menu was decent enough with a good selection at reasonable prices. Everything clean and well presented, with just a few tasteful Christmas decorations around the place.
