| The Hare & Hounds was the second and better of the pubs I tried in Hindley. This is a traditional Allgates pub just down the hill from the station, towards the town centre. A group of elderly customers with dry senses of humour were congregated around the bar. The barman was younger, but certainly knowledgeable. Allgates ales were Wigan Junction & Meadow Pit. Guests were Stockport Brewing Co Cascade, Cheshire Brewhouse Cheshire Set & Burton Bridge Damson Porter. This was my second favourite pub of the day. A fine local. blue_scrumpy - 8 Dec 2015 20:59 |

| Allgates pub with a range of their beers available. TV showing sports though not intrusive, if in the area worth a visit. Best in Hindley as Eddington is an 'acquired taste' in Holts trapperjohn - 18 Jul 2009 15:24 |
