In here last Saturday lunch time and very disapointed
Just two real ales on both from Greene King
I was in Norfolk last week so its expected but they are everywhere now.
IPA as usual and Old Golden Hen which was OK @ 2.85 a pint.
Over to the Drunken Duck then...........

Time for a mod of my review. I still use this npub regularly, but my comments about it being creche-like are more true than ever in the early evening in the lounge, and some parents don't see why they shouldn't allow their offspring to run about (including over the seats). Later on there's usually a singer or band, and the bar is sometimes a bit noisy, so if you're looking for a quiet pint it's a bit frustrating. Beer & food both still very good though.

This is my local. The lounge does get used in the week, but sometimes closes if the pub is very quiet. Food is excellent, and I've never had a duff pint either. Can get a bit creche-like in the early evening.

A fresh, large, free standing place, with patio area at the front, amazingly, close to the canal. The interior has two large rooms with canal memorabilia. The lounge is not used in the week it seems, with the bar having TVs and a pool table. Its clean, the service friendly, with a mixed clientele.

They serve the usual, with Banks's Bitter and Marston's Lord Taverners Ale on pull, Banks's MILD on smooth.

The nicest of the three main road Walsall Wood pubs, i would happily pop in if around.
