| Found this gem of a pub by accident, got lost on the way back to Faversham and took a wrong turn. Just changed hands and the landlord (Nigel) told us all about the pub and his plans for the future without being boring. Two cask ales on and a cask cider. The Flowers was bright and clear and tasted good, also bushells cider. It has a huge car park and massive garden, inside has lovely beams, brick and wooden floors and you can go up some steps an intimate area. Nigel has plans to start good home cooked, local, food. | Was/Tried to be know as a 'foodie' persons pub...but,food not really up to par with the local competition. That said,always serves a local brew...had Nelson 'Pieces o' eight' last visit and Westerham 'Summer Pearle' today plus Biddenden cider and a blast from my past... Flowers IPA on pump! I must admit I rather like this place,it has charm and character in amidst the housing estate expansion of Bearsted/Roseacre. | Great looking pub, but that's it. Awful food, veggie burger was burnt on the outside and frozen in the middle. Before this we were considering using this pub for our wedding reception, but when we saw the chef arrive with bags of frozen food from Morrisons we were put off. theskinnyfatkid - 4 Aug 2009 21:48 |
