| Why as this pub only got a rating of 6.7, obviously the previous two ratings were done before the current people took over. The current owners have been there three years (Feb 2007) and have transformer the pub, it still retains the country pub feel but is clean and friendly. The food is excellent which is backed by always being fully booked Friday, Saturday and Sunday and its best to book on week days, the staff are brilliant, always friendly and welcoming. The beer is top rate and cheap, Astley Ale being my favorite but the rest are cheaper and better quality than anything else in the area, and the majority of pubs in Shrewsbury. top rated and highly recommended, if you want quality pub grub and a decent pint go to the Dog In The Lane evanscolin - 10 Jun 2010 14:31 |
