| The Lady of Mann can be hit or miss. Yesterday it was more hit than miss. Much quieter than Rigby's or Ye Hole In Ye Wall, it had 3 real ales on - Okell's Bitter & Kirkstall Three Swords & Dexter Milk Chocolate Stout. | All I can say about this pub is that it is tremendously average. Okell's bitter o.k. Digger's Gold o.k. Newspapers o.k. Service o.k. Music o.k. Punters o.k. Food o.k. if you like chorizo and cheese. At the end of the bar it has a glass showcase reminiscent of a butcher's shop with cold meats and cheeses, which I have never seen in a pub before and which gave the place an eerie feeling. | I hate long walks between pubs !! Out of Sarah Rigby's and across the courtyard into the Lady of Mann - brilliant. Okells Bigtter and MPA on draught the latter being very enjoyable. I need to go back to this pub to see it when it isn't rammed on a Saturday night. mcroyal - 5 Mar 2013 14:26 |
| While it isn't the best pub in the Dale Street area, the reviews below are very unfair. There's usually 2 guest beers (as I don't like Okell's except the IPA this is vital for me), the beer quality is good and the staff are pleasant enough when not run off their feet on busy Summer evenings. Far superior to Rigby's, which has all the charm and sociability of a Wetherspoon's without the cheap beer. Bland interior, closes early Sunday, across the courtyard behind Rigby's.
