| A very characterful pub, well worth a visit for the superb Bass and the roaring fire on cold days. The pub has changed little over the years and is all the better for that. The regulars are a friendly bunch and the landlord a great bloke. Recommended. MoggieMinor - 16 Jan 2013 22:21 |

| Having heard that this pub had been re-vamped since my last visit I thought I'd give it another go. The new owners have chanegd the character a little and there are more beers on. Still many of the same faces, and it remains a reasonabel back-street boozer, worth popping in to while waiting for a train. The TV spoils it a bit for me, but each to his own. I had a decent pint of Bass and would be happy to pop in again. ETA - 2 Mar 2010 06:36 |

| Beat me to it! Agreed, very decent boozer which is a short walk from the railway station. Few good ales on fromthe big boys, including Abbot, Bass and Bombardier. the latter was in great form on my visit. Local boozer but friendly with it. A few different drinking areas including a sparsely-furnished snug and a back roomm. Sky sports shown. and friendly service.
