This place is now called the Queen Charlotte and is part of the Draft House chain of pubs. It was my last stop in Central London before heading out of town to the Sambrook's Brewery Tap Room in Battersea (not listed on the site). The Queen Charlotte is a small corner pub with limited seating. There are 3 handpulls for cask ales and a larger selection of craft beers. Only 2 of the handpulls were clipped - Weird Beard Black Perle & Siren Yulu were the options. It's quite dark inside and it has a fairly trendy feel to it. A decent last pub of the evening in the centre.

Dreadful place to rip off the large passing trade. Lovely hot day fancied a nice cold lager. Choice of Heineken, San Miguel, Fosters. Asked for Heineken - "we don't have it"... went for (at 4.10 a pint) the San Miguel. Dire, tasteless and not cold enough. Even if you fancy a swift lager this place won't do it for you.

Nice single bar place on Goodge St - probably the sort of place large breweries are itching to make over but it was crowded when I went in and they should just leave it alone as it's a nice friendly after work pub.

Trundled into here, like hundreds must do, after a meal on Charlotte Street. Admittedly, I was a little tired and emotional on arrival, but I found it to be warm, friendly and a little quirky.

The wooden partitions and fixtures lent the place a real cosy feel.

Two real ales on this visit: Deuchars and Landlord. Unfortunately, the IPA went off just as we arrived. However, I did manage to grab the last half and both beers seemed well kept and served at a decent temperature.

Friendly barmaid. Chatty locals.

P.S. They definitely serve Laphroaig in doubles, as I found out to my cost the following morning!

Pokey little bar, and the sort of place that you would expect to have an upstairs room (except it doesn't). Leaving aside the 'size matters' issue, the beer was well kept and the place has a good, friendly atmosphere.
