| Visited on a wet Tuesday in June. We were cycling and soaked so maybe not in the happiest of moods but I'm afraid the pub did little to lift our spirits. Boring beer choice (Black Sheep, Adnams, Bombardier). Tried the Black Sheep since it hadn't travelled quite as far as the others. Not ver y good at all, even for Black Sheep. | Visted this pub about a month ago to find that it was a rather decent real ale oasis is a small town of John Smiths Smooth etc... Sampled a local Thorne Brewery Mild which was lovely and creamy for a strong 4.2%. There was also Blacksheep on offer and cask John Smiths. The beer was very well kept and the pub was quite friendly. It had sky sports, a pool table and appeared to also offer food. Thorne can be quite a tasty place if you are a stranger but this pub is a real gem !! if you can locate it...
