| Wye Valley and Old Speckled Hen were the beers, both in average condition. A Titanic ale was 'off'. The bar is getting very shabby; water stains on the ceiling, chairs worn etc. On a positive note, the young staff were enthusiastic and polite. Bar meals were good value and quality. | Smart hotel with a bar that is open to all. Has a decent bunch of regulars as there�s nowhere else to get a pint around here except the Clock Tower round the corner. Unusually for a hotel it has a good range of changing real ales, five on when I visited. They have three local beers on, plus a couple from further afield. I had quite a few of them as I was staying here. All were well kept as well. It�s obviously a hotel bar from the d�cor, with some comfy seating along with high tables for dining (bar food available) and a quiz machine but it doesn�t really feel like one.
