Report from Glossop Pub Crawl on 03.05.2014: Could not get in - absolutely rammed due to the Manchester City versus Everton match being shown on the big screen. Shame, as this pub has been good on previous visits. This is a staunch Manchester City pub. DoctorBarfly - 4 May 2014 20:16 |
friendly local serving two great tasting beers, Lancaster bomber and Wainrights both were on good form, Landlord friendly also. rockpostie707 - 31 Dec 2013 11:08 |
On a recent visit found only Lodestar on the bar: it was in reasonable condition. The pub seems rather run-down and there is a pronounced musty smell. A sort of throw-back to many 70s pubs - but without the cigarette smoke! wobblybob - 31 Aug 2013 18:27 |
Visited The Corner Cupboard last night (29/12/2012). Two Thwaites beers were on offer – Lancaster Bomber and Wainwrights. We had pints of each and they were found to be good. The pub seems to be sports orientated, and was reasonably busy. DoctorBarfly - 30 Dec 2012 21:18 |
You need to get back and see the great changes with the new owners. Spotlessly clean with no nasty niffs - just nice clean smells! Nice friendly pub. All sports shown, but especially Manchester City matches as big City pub. Golf society aswell, from all the golf talk. Really good beer and real hand pulled beer, can tell its looked after, recommend you give this lovely little pub a try!! Oh an look for the cute little little dog that always seems to be sat in one of the windows when they are closed. stafford - 9 Oct 2011 20:34 |
