| This pub is well worth a visit. Since moving to East Sussex from Bromley we have trawled the area for a good pub and came across this little gem, unspoilt, rustic, everything you would want in an traditional english rural pub but within easy reach of the beach, Rye etc so a good base as they have excellent accomodation at really reasonable rates. The food on offer is good wholesome tasty food, her pastry is to die for, I would recommend her steak and mushroom pie or pudding, people travel past many pubs to eat her food. A good night to visit too is a Tuesday evening which is an open mic night, fantastic local musicians all taking turns to play their music, some excellent talent to watch out for.
