The Harp was our first Welsh pub of the day yesterday. It's a two room local with a car park at the rear which looks over fields full of sheep and a river valley. The young barmaid seemed new to the job. She charged for a pint, when we only had a half. But the landlord was on hand to assist. The 2 ales were Wye Valley Butty Bach & Cottage Honey Bunny. Fairly average place. Locals were friendly. blue_scrumpy - 19 Sep 2016 19:52 |
Nice pub, serves S.A. and Wye Valleys Golden Ale, with a 3rd on weekends/summer. Sparklers on as standard. Through the front door, bar directly infront. Tiber lined roof. Mixed tables, with quoits and darts to the left, by the fire. To the right, up a step, to the side of the bar is a smaller room, with a little bar that feeds off the main. Carry on through and the third room 'behind' the bar has views over the river, and tables set in a more meeting room/restaurant style. Wireless internet available, couple of rooms for BnB upstairs, live music roughly once a month. Pub food served at pub prices, worth stopping in on the way to/from Brecon. edtheduck - 1 Jun 2009 11:24 |
