Pleasant classic Dutch 'brown cafe' with an even mix of visitors and locals. Your standard 25cl was Eu2.75 so roughly around £5.50 a pint. There is a little gallery with some seats up pretty steep stairs towards the back. They do have other ales apart from the ubiquitous Heineken. Snarling_Mallard - 11 Jul 2018 11:45 |
Wow, I can't believe how few reviews this place has. It's gorgeous, friendly and has a nice selection of beers. Biggles - 27 Mar 2015 22:19 |

Time-warp old brown bar with wonderful canalside setting, in a quieter part of town just 15 or so minutes walk away from the Damrak. Plenty of jenevers and a few decent beers including Belgian beers like Affligem on draught. Nice timber interior, stained glass, an old James Ritchie & Son clock, spirits casks and seats outside. Also does food. owenowen - 29 Jun 2006 16:43 |
