| I wish that I had looked at these reviews first! My family and I have visited The Puzzle Tree on several occasions over the last 12 months, and the first few times they were a pleasant experience with nice food, nice atmosphere and attentive staff. However on a visit in March this year the staff were rude, sloppy, and inattentive. The food was cold and poorly presented, and had to be returned on 2 occasions as the orders were wrong. However we put it down to a one off bad experience and decided to try once more. This time the service was worse and the staff acted like it was a chore to serve you and the last thing they wanted to be doing. The food was served again on cold plates which meant that after about 5 minutes it was stone cold. We waited 20 minutes for the plates to be cleared, at which point we expected to be asked if we would like desserts, we weren�t. We then had to ask for the dessert menu, and upon receipt of the desserts again we had to ask if we might have some cutlery! The final straw was when we went to pay, the woman who I assume is the owner/manager was pulling a pint half way down the bar, she turned and said ��59.60�. To which I said �I�m sorry?�, she said ��59.60, 4 dinners, 4 desserts, drinks and 3 coffees, �59.60�. There was no, �did you enjoy your meal?�, no �see you again soon�, despite the fact we had been on several occasions. It was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I have ever encountered; you would expect better service in a fast food drive through! I would suggest you never eat at The Puzzle Tree, in fact tell everyone you know to never eat there. mdo10 - 13 May 2009 13:14 |
