Breaking 5 years of silence, to say that this pub (unlike many) is still going and is OK. Only 5 mins walk from Westfield Centre, but hidden in the back streets. When I was there there was me, and 5/6 people playing pool (not very well), including barman and landlord ! Also, pub cat, which didn't want to talk to me either !! Luckily I could watch the grand prix on big screen TV. Beer was Landlord, Pedigree & 2 Kelham Island beers. I had the Pedigree, which was fine. Martinsh - 22 Nov 2014 22:13 |

Always entertaining, beer always in excellent condition. This pub is unique as it also hosts ever changing art exhibitions. Worth a visit to check out the juke box which has the strangest mixture of music we've ever seen ranging from cool jazz to death metal with a little bit of classical in between and ska and punk etc etc. HMSpubcrawl - 29 Sep 2009 20:39 |
Exterior looks like it has escaped from the 60s - in a bad way. "Done up" ok with leather sofas and light painted walls. Has 4-5 guest beers which are usually local and excellent. Empty during the day at the weekend and opens at strange hours. Worth a visit, even if it is off the beaten track. goalman2000 - 30 May 2009 11:16 |
