An unusual layout to this pub and a little rowdy too.

Reinforced by the landlady necking Jagerbombs at 3 in the afternoon!

5/10

The individuals posting negative reviews about this pub are clearly the Treneere chavs who used to be the mainstay 'clientele'. It's now quite a decent pub with local live bands playing regularly and making it's own small contribution to local culture and nightlife.

Well, after the poor reviews I must have found the pub at a good time, the locals were friendly. a barrel of Middle from Spingo was on the bar and a few decent beers on handpump in good condition.I handed the barman a pound too much the round was that cheap.A few seats outside, all in all the place was rather spartan, I enjoyed it and would revisit like a shot but not really the place for a first date or a wedding reception.Everyone one in the pub had a great laugh but it is unrepeatable!

There is no doubt that this pub has been through the mill in recent years and has attracted some awful managers and truly awful punters.

However it does seem to be improving and the new licencee seems to be trying different things such as the regular music nights and keeping his beer in good condition...my pint of Skinners was fine.

Its a one bar pub with a few nooks and crannies off it. Has a low ceiling and stone floors and could be very atmospheric given the right treatment.

It's not too bad a pub new but unfortunately a few drongos still use the place. They have live music on at times otherwise the Landlord's own eclectic mix of 'Whizz Banga Banga' which at times is too loud. Usual selection of beers really a town pub but once again not a bad experience
