| Shocking pint of Betty Stoggs which was definitely on the turn. The Mrs was served up a diet coke which was flatter than water. Barman commented that he was waiting for the syrup to run out. I suggest that if he knew it was about to run out then perhaps he should have already changed it rather than try it out on a customer. Very disappointing. | Just been to this pub with my family - the place was packed! Superb food (my wife had the Hake - I had Paprika Chicken), excellent ales (I opted for Betty Stoggs) and the staff were attentive and very friendly. | Many years ago this place was run by Les Rowe, and his mother lived nearby. If notice was given, Les would have his mother prepare "proper" pasties, and these were the best I've ever tasted, complementing the excellent beer which he sold.
