| I'm delighted to say this is my local after recently moving to the area. A free house run superbly by one of the most convivial hosts I've ever met, backed by friendly bar staff & an excellent kitchen. Food & ale outstanding. | Great pub, full of character, been going here on and off for 20+ years. Now serves excellant food, not cheap, but well cooked, good sized portions with friendly staff. And the beer, proper ale usually 4 or 5 real ales to choose from and good selection of wine, again not the cheapest but never had a bad pint yet.
