Was a major music venue. Acts included - The Cranberries, Pulp, Radiohead, Artic Monkeys etc. Now a supermarket. tradervic - 9 Apr 2020 09:36 |
To me this pub has been very lack lustre for ages, and will probably disappear quite soon..... proboozer - 19 Sep 2016 13:18 |
I was most impressed with the Charlotte. I'm told that it's now run by the people that used to run The Pub. 6 ales were on, plus a cider - Rudgate Brew No. 1 Vanilla Mild, Elwoods Puff, Tring Side Pocket For A Toad, Salopian Pathfinder, Grafters Cascade & Buck Pendeen American Pale. The cider was Joe's Dry - not one I'd had before. The interior of this pub has been stripped back to a minimum. But the atmosphere was good, with plenty of singing from the Leicester fans. It's fairly small and has the feel of a micropub. A good option and easy to combine with the Criterion. blue_scrumpy - 8 May 2016 16:20 |
Reopened again recently. Maybe worth a look for nostalgia but probably not for repeat visits. I can't comment on the quality of the cask beer as a couple of times I've visited they weren't ready to be served. Slake - 18 May 2014 17:52 |
Reopened. For how long is anyone's guess. Rumored to be turned into flats sometime in the next twelve months. Slake - 13 Dec 2009 19:26 |
