| This is owned by the same people who own The Bootlegger opposite the train station, hence the large beer selection and similar decor inside. Although not as popular it is just as pricey! | Finally got through the front door, no private parties or irregular hours to transpire against me this time. It's effectively a restaurant that allows people (that aren't riff-raff) in for a drink, the place was fully booked so the 5 of us were crammed along the bar with the drinkers and the eaters getting into each others way. I guess the food must be good and there is an Africa meat theme, Camel, Kudu, Springbok, Camel etc very pricey though. 2 Rebellion beers on, IPA and Smuggler, not bad. Abteilung - 13 Nov 2010 12:39 |
| Watch out for the weird old lady who calls herself the 'owner'. She will sit down at your table while you're trying to enjoy your meal and tell you about her bladder tablets and boring stories about how she likes to walk her dog. She is very snobbish, spoke down to us (and everyone else) the whole night and speaks to the staff like they're dirt . She single-handedly ruined my dining experience. Felt sorry for the staff all night, they are spoken to horribly and I won't be coming back here and the owners are clearly not very nice people. ClaireBecket80 - 8 Sep 2010 14:02 |

I come here often, food is great, beer is great, staff are friendly, a really great place to visit! to be honest one of the cleanest pubs I have ever seen! not sure why people are running it down!
