also known as the Pickled Ovaries...not a bad place...a bit trendy with an older crowd...thought it was bring your mother night!...music is a bit cheesy....but no trouble and seems to double as a night club...strict door policy after a certain hour.. d.franks - 28 Apr 2011 20:25 |
Englands goalkeeper Robert Green may have made an inexplicable and excruciating howler in the USA game, though there were no such mistakes by Tickled Ivory regarding our visit here Saturday night (12 June). I came here with 4 other people after 7ish, having reserved a table prior to the game, with the attitude of the usually anti football manager brilliant. Our group had ample space and a clear view of the largest screen in the place, which was a clear contrast from the raucous and ridiculously packed Bar Med when I popped in there briefly around 7ish. Tickled Ivorys drinks promotion during the game was excellent with 4 bottles of Corona or a jug of beer for 10, which I felt was good value for money. The atmosphere was lively during the game and we stayed in there a little while afterwards as the place then transformed into what some people might call a middle aged meat market! Drinks, however, went up considerably post match, as I later paid 7.60 for 2 Coronas. Overall though, Tickled Ivory is a superb venue to watch Englands 2010 World Cup games and I would certainty come here again to watch England matches. Searching_for_H_Files - 16 Jun 2010 10:39 |
