Backstreet pub in Hereford opposite an army base. The pub was fairly busy on a Saturday evening. But most people were congregated around the bar. So seating was still available. It has a fairly cosy atmosphere. 4 ales were on - Wye Valley HPA & Butty Bach, Otter Ale & Greene King Abbot.

Used to have an Adnams beer and 2 or 3 others, often unusual and interesting, but recently the Adnams has gone and the beer choice is a whole lot less imaginative. Beer is quite expensive but the food is cheap plentiful and wholesome. The Wednesday night serve-yourself curry and a pint is an amazingly good deal. Small backyard is pleasant in summer and there's an open fire indoors in winter. Friendly atmosphere.

Pubco pub, nice traditional feel though with a boring range of guest ale. One barwoman was a dragon, the other was friendly. Couldn't cope with a group though they had been informed of their visit. Food was good in fairness. But must struggle through its location amongst a load of houses and also with the Barrels up the road leaving no reason to walk any further out of town.

Old fashioned local pub. The beer is good and so is the food.
