Excellent pub with good beers. Currently table service only but efficiently done. hollybush33 - 3 May 2022 14:06 |
This pub is called 'The Mews', Not Muse! Lister - 27 Feb 2017 19:54 |
There’s one pub tick from the current GBG in Wetherby so I had to visit while in the town for racing. It’s was 11.30am on a Wednesday and the place had half a dozen people in when we arrived. Muse is a single storey building that lays behind the main square and looks more like a restaurant from the outside. Once you enter there is a dining room to the right and a small bar and seating area to the left. 6 cask ales on, I opt for a couple of pints of Hop Studio’s Obsidian @ 5.0% which is a black IPA & very drinkable. In addition to the cask ales there are 8 kegs offering cider, wheat beer, stout and fruit beer. The manager and bar man are chatty and engage with all of the customers, I discuss beer and horse racing with a friendly local while enjoying my beers. I’m unsure what the other pubs in Wetherby are like but on my next visit I will make sure I return to Muse as it’s a good alehouse / wine bar and a very good tick lezford - 15 Dec 2015 16:29 |
Spent a very pleasant early evening here sampling three of their well kept beers from Moorhouses, Daleside and Leeds breweries. Had an excellent Chicken Liver and Bacon Baguette for 4.95 - great value grub off their specials board. Why this isn't in the Good Beer Guide I don't know - there are some pubs in the Leeds CAMRA area which make the guide that don't hold a candle to this one. JBGatelad - 31 Jul 2010 14:40 |
Excellent source of real ale and interesting lagers in Wetherby. Staff friendly and generally helpful. NO TV or loud music so ideal for conversation in a smart interior. Same company has the Mitre Hotel next to Knaresborough Station. Bronzewhaler - 23 May 2009 15:00 |
