| We did the bluebell walk in the village and came to this pub afterwards for a well earned drink. We decided to have food, (pub grub) and it really hit the spot. A massive garden which the kids loved. A lovely welcome and the locals were very friendly and chatty. | The New Inn has recently been taken over by people who will welcome you, and have good beer. Also having a menu of good value pub grub. Dont dismiss the pub from past experiences. It has changed 4 the better!!!!!!!!!!!!! st3v3 - 14 May 2012 18:02 |
| Went there hoping for a warm welcome/nice lunch. Got neither. Definitely felt like we were intruding as we entered and made the landlady have to get up from her seat in front of the fire to serve us, didn't get so much as a smile. The lunch "menu" consisted of cheese or beef rolls, chips or pork pie. Could have tolerated the lame menu if we hadn't have felt so unwelcome.
