went to this pub with my mother a few weeks back and it was great. Nice menu, great staff. Now menu has changed. its the usual pub grub. scampi and oven chips. 7.50! I can go down the chippy and get better for less. My son had a childs portion of mash potato. (think it was smash) and sausage with peas. his dessert was one scoop of ice-cream (the tiniest scoop you have ever seen) and if he wanted another scoop, we would have to pay an extra pound! ridiculous. My brother got trimmed beans with his meal(which he had to trim himself) dreadful. wont be bothering again. shame cos the pub itself is cosy. lauralouise - 3 May 2010 18:33 |
This has become a populat place recently. It's part of a chain [Vintage Inns] and gets a lot of trade from its adjoining motel, who are lucky to have it on the doorstep! Batemans XXXB is always on plus a guest beer, inevitably in good condition. Mainly a dining pub now, but you're not made unwelcome if not eating. Worth a visit if you're passing by on the A47 ericonabike - 29 Apr 2009 19:16 |
