Pleased to state that Shepherd Neame responded very well to my enquiry about The Harrow not having a geographical phone number. Seemingly, the fault was with BT. The geo no has now been restored. The pub is under new management. The 0871 tel no was not registered with the regulator, PhonePay Plus. I reported this and PhonePayPlus has contacted its owner (Core Telecom Ltd) with an instruction to comply with its legal obligation and register its Premium rate 0871 tel nos. longhotsummer - 2 Apr 2012 15:05 |
Why doesn't The Harrow publicise its geographical telephone number? The old number 01424 751109 is now unobtainable. All I can find after extensive searching is the rip-off 10p per min Premium Rate 0871 tel no advertised on this site. The Harrow is LOSING BUSINESS because of this nonsense. longhotsummer - 22 Mar 2012 18:52 |

It is a dump, in a dump. I don't mean Hastings itself, because the pub is situated on The Ridge, on the edge of town. The locals are all edge of towners, London/Tunbridge Wells* commuter types, and are therefore up themselves, they really should try to re-market themselves as an middle-market restaurant, rather than a village pub. *(Sorry, Royal Tunbridge Wells. Before I get an angry letter in "Das Telegraf". zagreb - 10 Sep 2010 15:57 |
