user reviews of Sycamore Inn, Parwich

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Unpretentious village local that feels a million miles away from civilisation. It's located in a picturesque Peak District village. We sat outside on a pleasant lawn, watching a couple of hot air balloons pass directly over us. Robinsons Trooper & Hartleys Cumbrian XB were the ales. This was the only pub of 10 we tried that stocked a real cider - Old Rosie, keeping me happy. Worth a visit here.

just returned from a week long stay in Parwich and a few very cosy nights in the Sycamore. Very friendly, welcoming village and locals always ready to chat. Beers all good from the Robinson's. Double Hop, Unicorn and Young Tom all well kept and served expertly. ( tried all 3!) Food is good home cooked style too and great value.Bice outside area of lawn. Try it after a tramp in the hills. Perfect.

Friendly, traditional local in extremely attactive but quiet Peaks village. Robbies beer good, snacks from shop. Worth a trip.

As stated, lovely little village pub/shop in isolated village near Ashbourne. Hard up against the church and next to a small brook. Welcoming and friendly landlady, excellent Robinson's Unicorn and Old Tom on draught. Tables on large lawn, very pleasant little place.
