Excellent pub, a Marston's house, and the beer was very good. (Oxford Gold).. Ok, its a Two for One, but the pork and black pudding stack with cider and apple sauce was perfectly cooked and presented, with fresh steamed veg, a real change from frozen rubbish. The staff were very friendly, and nice to see the manager wearing a tie. I will be going back. casksniffer - 19 Mar 2010 18:07 |
All I can say is - "Buy one get one free" on all main meals. Food is great. Beer fine, service friendly. Decor clean. Worth a visit. westcastle - 5 Sep 2009 22:12 |
Large white rendered eatery pub. Open plan, plain walls a few pictures - in other words the stock boring interior for this kind of place. The place was clean and the service fine. Beerwise, just as boring i am afraid. Usual tosh, with 8 handpulls it seemed - all with Banks's bitter on; a little overkill. However, unlike the Carpenters Arms, this did taste of Banks's bitter. I wouldnt waste my time in coming again Archivist - 20 Jul 2009 18:08 |
