No real ale any more, but still a friendly atmosphere and reasonable food if you want a meal. Best to eat here then move down the road to The Cock to get the best of both worlds. I'd certainly come back again. ETA - 22 May 2009 10:38 |
Used to be the best pub in wellington , probally the best bass in telford if not shropshire , but alas nomore now a resturant more than a pub . Food has good reputation but no good for drinkers. trenchlad - 8 Feb 2009 23:07 |
This place looks like a pub but it isn't really. Has a sign outside that says bar and restaurant but it's more of a restaurant with a bit of a bar area now. Looks very pleasantly laid out for food with all tables having flowers on them etc. HAs two handpumps on the bar which were supposed to be Enville White and GK IPA but of course the Enville was off. I was served with the coldest pint of IPA I've ever had, which removed what little taste it would have had and was then charged 2.50 for it. Guest ales coming soon were Abbot and Old Speckled Hen. Someone needs to get some imagination in here. Food may well be good (I didn't try it) but I wouldn't bother if you just want a drink. ROBCamra - 22 Jan 2009 09:37 |
Very nice throughout- big pub, lots of space. Lovely outdoor area for families and excellent food. bdm - 23 Jul 2008 18:03 |
