| Slightly improved with 3 real ales (all national beers) at reasonable prices. Comfortable and very close to the railway station and meals all day. They are having a small St Georges Day beer festival. wellingtonia - 21 Mar 2010 19:59 |

| Still no ale on when we visited last night, still full of teenies, noisy, crowded and generally not somewhere to go for a relaxing evening. It's a pity because they've spent a fair bit on renovation, but it's all being ruined again by the yoofs. The one positive thing I will say is that there was a lot of eye candy on display. | This place has now reopened and has a large Smith & Jones pub sign outside. There is new carpet throughout and the place certainly smells a lot cleaner. They have a huge sign above the bar that says �Try our award winning cask ales�. They certainly haven�t won any awards for their cask ale and the selection on the bar hasn�t won that many either. They now have three handpumps Greene King IPA, Everards Tiger and Bombardier, ALL three turned round, pathetic. The clientele haven�t changed either, it�s still a kiddies playground.
